Why you should definitely learn German or English Online via Skype

“After unsuccessfully trying many methods and many teachers to improve my German, I came across Nina and her learning method via Skype.
Working internationally, my work and travel schedules did not allow me to attend classes regularly or even have an effective one-on-one tutoring schedule; it simply didn’t work! Skype’s flexibility was the only method which worked for my needs. I had tried Skype learning before but the tutor didn’t master the medium very well and it was difficult to follow and it wasn’t a very well structured and documented learning approach.

“While getting older, people usually have their own routine and ways to deal with what they want. My target is understanding and speaking with people where I live. Nina is an amazing teacher and the most impressive thing about her, she can adapt herself and the class following exactly what the student asks for.
I mean, this is important when you are dealing with different people and expectations. It is amazing to listen to her adventures (trust me, she has a lot!) and to share with her something about myself. She always has some questions, which means she cares about what I am talking about.

“Nina has been an excellent teacher, exceeding all my expectations. Having some knowledge of German from 20 years ago, I have tried to brush up on my knowledge a number of times. What I was really lacking was the ability to keep a conversation going.
With Nina, I have been able to focus on speaking German over Skype, fitting in with my schedule. Nina has played various roles, such as taking a hotel reservation over the phone. I even made a real phone call to a ski shop in Austria to reserve ski equipment, during my Skype lesson, which was most satisfying.

“I wholeheartedly recommend Skype lessons with Nina. She is a great and very patient teacher with the ability to teach students at all levels.
Lessons over Skype were a very positive experience for me. In most cases I actually preferred Skype lessons over in person lessons. Skype allowed for a running transcript with notes, comments, and clarifications to be studied after the lessons.
An additional benefit of lessons over Skype is the flexibility and efficiency in fitting the learning into your daily schedule since no time is wasted with travel to and from lessons, it’s as easy as sitting down at your computer.

“Ich wollte dringend mein Englisch-Sprechen verbessern und bin zufällig im Internet auf Nina´s „Englisch lernen via Skype“ gestoßen. Was für ein Glück! Englisch einfach zu sprechen, über Skype die Stunde zu absolvieren, zu vereinbarten Terminen und dazu noch ohne zusätzliche Fahrzeiten aufzuwenden, das war einfach großartig.
Nina gab mir den Tipp, interessante Podcasts zu hören, und/ oder Serien im englischen Originalton zu schauen und diese dann in unseren Stunden in Englisch wiederzugeben. Das war genau mein Ding. Nicht nur, dass ich einfach frei raus über das Gehörte/ Gesehene plaudern konnte, ich hab auch so unendlich viele interessante, neue und horizonterweiternde Dinge gelernt.
Die wöchentliche Stunde war also immer ein Highlight und hat Riesenspaß gemacht. Auch die Korrekturen, niedergeschrieben im Chat, konnte ich im Nachgang nochmal ansehen und die ein oder andere Vokabel im Folgetermin einbringen.

“Auf eine Empfehlung hin, habe ich Nina kennengelernt und über einen längeren Zeitraum eine Stunde pro Woche online daran gearbeitet, mein Englisch zu verbessern. Wir haben uns über unterschiedlichste Themen ausgetauscht und Nina hat mir jede Menge Übungen zur Verfügung gestellt, mit denen ich allein arbeiten konnte.
